There are numerous paths for snowshoe  or easy walks around the summer footpaths amongst the hamlets or towards La Magdeleine Village.
The the itinerary with the evocative name ‘Lord of the Rings’, 20Km of deafening silence between Chamois and La Magdeleine is highly recommended.
There are a number of must-see ski moutaineering routes that vary in difficulty levels, right up to the Nana Pass 3000 a.s.l. (Col Nana).
The ski area of Chamois is south facing and in front of the Matterhorn, sheltered from the wind and with temperate climate. It is an ideal location for relaxing and stress-free skiing, without the business of larger skiing resorts. Whilst being a great location for experience skiiers and snowboarders, it is also a perfect location for absolute beginners.
There are stunning panoramic off-piste descents from the Fontanafredda Pass, which of course must be practised with safety. There is a spectatular view of the Matterhorn range which can be accessed by chairlift. Ski instructors are available for absolute beginners and advanced learners, as well as ski, snowboard and snowshoe rental services. The  Valtournenche-Breuil-Cervinia-Zermatt ski resort is easily accessible for those who love a varied ski experience. Afterwhich, you may relax at the spa at Maison Cly, offering sauna, massages and jacuzzi.
